Rejoice!

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!" - Phil. 4:4

What does it mean to rejoice in the Lord? As it says, "Rejoice in the Lord." Who or what are we putting our joy in? The God of the Bible. Just take a quick trip in your mind from Genesis to Revelation and think. "who has God revealed Himself to be"? Then remember, we rejoice in Him! In any and every circumstance we can find peace and joy in Him Who is for us and not against us (Rom. 8)!

God's Faithfulness In All

It may seem that the tasks and events of everyday life are to no greater purpose. Another few grains of sand slipping through the hourglass of life. Far be it!

God calls His children to abundant lives in His Son (Jn. 10:10). Lives full of the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5). What may seem like a random patchwork quilt, is the hand of the Potter shaping the clay into what He has purposed for it (Rom. 8:28-29; 9-11, & Eph. 2:1-10 to name a few). From dishes, to leading people to Christ, may you rejoice in our Lord and the life that He has given you to live!

The Glories Of Christ

From before time began, our God had a plan, to display His glory to all,
Created beings, both angels and humans, all things in Creation would fall.

He works all things, the one sovereign King, His mind beyond comprehension
Through His Son, the victory won, through cross, pow'rless grave, and ascension.

Subjected in hope, through redemption God broke, all curse. He is blessed forever!
Now to those who believe, new life He's achieved, for eternity with Him together!

What a glorious God, Yahweh is His name! Let all Creation resound His fame!
We praise you oh LORD, the only one, Who creates and reigns, and sustains in His Son!
For all of eternity this will ne'er cease, "holy, holy, holy, to the LORD God Almighty."

God is Faithful

Our great God and Saviour is always faithful (Ex. 34:5-7; 2 Tim. 2:10-13)! He has saved us and will keep us (Jn. 10).

Subtle to our conscience perhaps, is the sin of unbelief. Maybe we think that sin is when we break one of the Ten Commandments. Although that's true, Jesus Christ (who is God) teaches us in the gospel to repent and believe (Lk 18:9-14; Jn 6). We then live by faith in Christ and His Spirit produces fruit in our lives (see the epistle to the Galatians). Every moment, by God's glory, may you believe in Christ (Eph. 3:14-21), living His righteousness out by faith (Rom. 1:16-17 and the rest of the book)! May you ever trust in Him!

Praise our great God!
